Think summer camp is only for kids? Think again. At ScienceWorks, we believe curiosity doesn’t age — and our August STEAM Social is here to prove it.

Join us for Summer Camp Edition, a playful evening of hands-on discovery, crafts, and good old-fashioned camp vibes designed for everyone — whether you're 6, 60, or somewhere in between.

Our interactive activity stations offer something for every explorer:

  • Scat Kitchen – Yes, we’re talking edible poop! Learn about animal scat in the tastiest way possible.
  • pH Potion Experiments – Mix and test colorful reactions like a real camp chemist.
  • Paper Forest – Craft your own leafy landscape, no hiking boots required.
  • Pipe Cleaner Bracelets – A classic camp craft with creative twists.

To help families gear up for back-to-school season, we’re welcoming special guests from Jackson County Library Services, Willow Wind School, and Ashland Schools Student Services, who will share helpful resources and info for the coming school year.

And the fun doesn’t stop there — we’re thrilled to host a live performance by local favorite Jen Joy with her touring show, Yo-yo Magic.Fun! This high-energy set combines impressive yo-yo tricks, a splash of magic, and an uplifting message about growth, effort, and staying open to new challenges. After the show, try your hand at some tricks during a hands-on yo-yo session with Jen!

So dig out your sense of wonder and join us for a joyful evening of summer camp fun — ScienceWorks style. You bring the curiosity, we’ll bring the marshmallows (okay, maybe not the marshmallows... but definitely the science and creativity).

See you August 8!
