Over 40 Teens Applied to ScienceWorks’ New Internship Program!

We are blown away! More than 40 local teens applied to our new paid internship program at ScienceWorks, and we’re feeling incredibly inspired by the talent, curiosity, and drive in our community.

Each applicant created thoughtful video submissions and writing samples, and we want to express our heartfelt thanks for the time, energy, and creativity that went into every application. We see the effort you put in, and we are truly honored by your interest in being part of the ScienceWorks story.

This overwhelming response shows us just how much interest there is in STEAM opportunities for youth, and we’re taking note for future planning. Your enthusiasm helps shape what comes next at ScienceWorks.

We’re deeply grateful to our community partners who are making this program possible:

  • Women Living Leadership (WILL), United Way’s women’s initiative
  • Southern Oregon Education Service District (SOESD)

Because of their support, we’ll soon be welcoming new paid interns to the museum for mentorship, career development, and hands-on learning.

This week, we’re interviewing finalists and narrowing down the selection — not an easy task with such an amazing group of applicants! We can’t wait to announce the new interns soon and welcome them to the ScienceWorks team.

To everyone who applied: Thank you. Your voices, your ideas, and your excitement fuel our mission. We’re cheering you on and hope to stay connected. This is just the beginning!
