Help Shape the Future of ScienceWorks: Share Your Feedback

At ScienceWorks, our community is at the heart of everything we do. From how and when we open our doors to the programs we offer inside them, we want to make thoughtful decisions that best serve the people who visit, learn, and play here. That’s why we’re inviting you to take part in our ScienceWorks Hours & Programming Survey.

We’re currently exploring potential changes to our public hours and programs. These ideas include expanding teen after-school programming in partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Rogue Valley, changing around our normal open hours, and opening during more school holidays. Each of these possibilities comes with opportunities — and tradeoffs — and your perspective will help guide what we do next.

In true ScienceWorks fashion, we’re starting with a few experiments. We’ll be open on President’s Day (February 16) and throughout Spring Break (March 23–27) to test how special open days work for our community. Consider this our hypothesis phase — your participation and feedback are the data that help us see what works.

This short survey (about 3–5 minutes) is designed to better understand when and how our community wants to visit ScienceWorks. We’re asking both members and non-members about preferred days and times, interest in special open hours like Mondays or school holidays, and what most inspires you to visit — whether that’s hands-on exhibits, events, camps, facilitated activities, or something else entirely.

We’re also interested in how you typically hear about ScienceWorks hours, events, and programs, and what communication methods work best for you. Clear, timely communication matters, and your feedback will help us make sure important updates reach you in ways that are useful and accessible.

Your responses will directly inform real decisions about staffing, scheduling, and programming. Whether you visit once a year or several times a month, your voice matters. The more feedback we receive, the better equipped we’ll be to balance access, equity, sustainability, and impact as we plan for the future.

Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts and help us continue building a ScienceWorks that reflects the needs, rhythms, and curiosity of our community. After completing the survey, we encourage you to sign up for our newsletter to stay in the loop on updates — and to follow along as we observe, test, and refine.

Thanks for being part of the experiment!
