Teachers and educators — it’s time to start planning your next adventure in discovery! Field trip registrations for the 2025–26 school year are now open at ScienceWorks. Whether your students are exploring physics, diving into ecosystems, or experimenting with engineering design, our interactive workshops are designed to inspire curiosity and connect directly to classroom learning.

We serve students from preK to grade 12, across the Rogue Valley and northern California. Each hands-on workshop is carefully tailored to your grade level and aligned with the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). Our goal is to make science come alive for your students while providing meaningful connections to core curriculum.

Every program incorporates the NGSS Science and Engineering Practices, including:

  • Asking questions and defining problems
  • Developing and using models
  • Planning and carrying out investigations
  • Analyzing and interpreting data
  • Using mathematics and computational thinking
  • Constructing explanations and designing solutions
  • Engaging in argument from evidence
  • Obtaining, evaluating, and communicating information

In addition, our workshops align with key NGSS disciplinary core ideas, such as:

  • Physical Science 2: Motion and Stability — Forces and Interactions
  • Engineering, Technology, and Applications of Science: Engineering Design; Links Among Engineering, Technology, Science, and Society
  • Earth and Space Science 3: Earth and Human Activity
  • Life Science 2: Ecosystems — Interactions, Energy, and Dynamics

Field Trip Details

  • Days: Wednesday–Friday
  • Time Slots: 10:00 AM–12:00 PM or 12:30 PM–2:30 PM
  • Capacity: Up to 120 students per visit
