Mural Fest 2025

A Celebration of Art, Community, and Creativity

This past weekend, the ScienceWorks plaza was alive with color, creativity, and community spirit as we hosted the Second Annual Mural Fest — and despite a little rain, the event was a vibrant success!

Saturday brought some unexpected showers, which meant rescheduling the live music to Sunday. But the spirit of the festival didn’t waver. Artists painted, visitors showed up with umbrellas and curiosity, and the sun returned just in time to make Sunday shine.

Throughout the weekend, muralists worked live on large-scale pieces right on the ScienceWorks plaza, transforming blank walls into powerful, imaginative artworks. A popular part of the event was the collaborative "paint-by-number" mural led by Central Art Supply. Visitors of all ages got the chance to pick up a paint pen and contribute — adding their own strokes to a beautiful, shared piece of public art. It was a joyful reminder that creativity truly is for everyone.

In an interview with KOBI News 5, project manager Jarrett Davidson shared his vision for expanding the celebration of murals across Southern Oregon — from Ashland to Talent, Phoenix, and beyond. “We would love to continue to showcase murals, showcase public art between the Southern Oregon cities... Ideally somewhere down the road we can have multiple stations of murals happening for the course of several days and showcase excellent artists of the valley, of our area.”

🎨 Couldn’t make it this weekend? No worries.
The murals created during Mural Fest will remain on display in the
ScienceWorks plaza through the end of September — plenty of time to stop by, stroll through, and see how public art transforms a space.

Thanks to everyone who joined us — from muralists to musicians, food vendors to first-time painters — for making Mural Fest 2025 such a joyful, creative experience. We can’t wait to do it again next year!
