Nano— Imagine and discover a world you can’t see!
Balance Our Nano Future
Build a Carbon Nanotube

Nano is an interactive exhibition that allows families to explore nanoscale science, engineering, and technology.  The hands-on exhibits will give you a close up look at the basics of nano science and engineering, introduce some real world applications, and explore the societal and ethical implications of this new technology.

Exhibit Components
  • What happens when things get smaller?
At the Smaller, Smaller, Nano station you can explore different sizes of magnetic materials and see how their properties change as they get smaller.
  • What's new about Nano?
Build a giant carbon nanotube and learn how this amazing technology can be used in a multitude of applications.
  • Where can you find Nano?
Play I Spy Nano and see how many places you can find Nano technology being used.
  • What does Nano mean for us?
Play the game Balance Our Nano Future and learn about the challenges of working together.

Nano is produced by the Nanoscale Informal Science Education Network (NISE Network) with funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF).
