Summer Internship Program
ScienceWorks is offering a limited number of summer internships for students, ages 13 and up, who are interested in science, developing new skills, having fun and giving back to the community.
The internship program is 50 hours long and consists of:
25 hours- Teaching Assistant during one of our week long summer camps
25 hours- Museum Exhibit Interpreter, Science Activities Presenter or leading activities for
pre-school aged visitors OR a possibility of assisting with a second summer camp
Camps will be held between June 17th and August 30th, with no camp the week of July 4th. Each intern will be assigned to help with one or two, 25 hour camps that fit the needs and schedule of the intern and museum. The remaining 25 hours of the internship should be scheduled with a minimum of two, 2 hour shifts per week working on a variety of assignments and must be completed by September 6th.

Benefits for Participants:
Each participant will receive 50 hours of experience in the fields of science and education. After successful completion of the internship, participants will receive a letter of recommendation from ScienceWorks and will have a new set of professional skills that will easily transfer to future jobs. Internships also look fantastic on resumes and college applications!
